EF66-0 electric locomotive (early model, with canopy)The EF66 was mass-produced in 1968 as a locomotive capable of pulling a 1000t-class high-speed freight train with a maximum speed of 100km/h, and 55 0-series locomotives were manufactured.
The early model is numbered 1 to 15, and is characterized by the shape of the side inspection hatch and shoulder filter.
When it was introduced, it was released without a front canopy, but some cars were later modified to have one installed.
Since 1985, it has been selected as a towing engine for the Blue Train and has been active in the industry.
The 11th locomotive is preserved and exhibited at the Railway Museum.
