JR EF81-500 type electric locomotive
Three cars of the EF81-500 appeared in 1989 to increase the transportation capacity of the Japan Sea Transit Line, and some equipment was omitted as a quote for freight trains.
All three have been active mainly on the Hokuriku and Uetsu Main Lines since their appearance, but now they have been transferred to the Moji Ward for all vehicles and are active in the Kyushu area.
