EF64-1000
-The EF64 type 1000 generation is a DC electric locomotive for the gradient line section that appeared in 1980 for the purpose of replacing the old electric locomotive on the Takasaki / Joetsu Line.
Since the later model vehicles after Unit 1033 were not equipped with an electric heating device, the appearance has changed partially, such as the absence of an electric warming indicator light on the side of the vehicle body.
The EF64 type 1000 series that was inherited by JR Freight underwent renovation work, and the paint was changed to blue and white, but from around 2017, the vehicle that underwent inspection again changed to the JNR color. A change has been made.
Currently active on the Chuo West Line, Shinonoi Line, and Hakubi Line.
