EF81-300 electric locomotive (secondary type)
The EF81 type appeared in 1968 as an electric locomotive compatible with DC and AC 50/60Hz, and is used as the standard type of AC/DC locomotive.
Four of the 300 series locomotives appeared with stainless steel bodies as locomotives for the Kanmon Tunnel, and currently the 303rd locomotive is in use within Kyushu with its stainless steel body remaining unpainted.
