JR H100 Series Diesel Car (Muroran Line/Hidaka Line Wrapped Car) Set
The H100 Series is a new type of electric diesel car that began commercial operation in 2020 to replace the remaining Kiha 40 Series cars throughout Hokkaido.
Some of the new cars added in 2022 feature wraps inspired by the distinctive features of each region of Hokkaido.
These cars are designed for use as tourist vehicles, and unlike regular cars, their interior design features a special design with removable tables.
These two cars are primarily used on regular Muroran Line trains (between Tomakomai and Higashimuroran and Muroran/Oshamanbe), and are also operated as special trains during peak passenger periods.
●Reproduced H100-series trains featuring Muroran and Hidaka lines assigned to Tomakomai Depot.
●The Muroran Line wrapping features a printed illustration of a coal train, originating from the Muroran Line, which was built to transport coal produced in the Sorachi region from Muroran Port.
●The Hidaka Line wrapping is based on the standard color scheme of the former JNR general diesel railcars and features a printed illustration depicting the Ainu culture and horse breeding areas common to Hidaka and Iburi.
●The side windows are reproduced with green glass.
●The head and tail lights and front display are equipped with constant-on boards and an ON-OFF switch.
●The head and tail lights and front display are illuminated by white LEDs.
●The front display is selectable and includes stickers.
●The TN coupler (SP) is standard equipment.
●Uses a flywheel-equipped powertrain.
●Uses a new current collection system and silver wheels.
●Uses an M-13 motor.
