Meitetsu Kiha 8200 series (Northern Alps) set
The Meitetsu Kiha 8200 series is a diesel car developed as a vehicle for entering the Takayama Line of the Japanese National Railways, and started operation in 1969.
Similar to the Kiha 8000 series that appeared earlier, the width of the car body is smaller than that of the JNR vehicle because it operates inside the Meitetsu line, which has a small vehicle limit, and the side windows are articulated windows similar to the company's 7000 series panoramic car.
Since the same system has two running engines, the total length is longer than the Kiha 8000 series.
When it first appeared, it was an express paint that conformed to the JNR Kiha 58 series, but in 1976 it was upgraded to a limited express train and the paint became similar to the JNR Kiha 82 series.
In 1991, it was replaced with the Kiha 8500 series and all cars were scrapped.
