Series 103 is a DC commuter train that appeared in 1963.
-3447 cars were manufactured between 1984 and 1984 after repeated model changes.
The 103 series 1200 series was introduced in 1970 for use on the Eidan Subway Tozai Line. The basic structure is the same as that of the 1000 series for the Chiyoda Line, which was introduced earlier. There is a door pocket window immediately after the door, and it has a unique appearance, such as the Kumoha 102 type being manufactured in relation to the formation of the 301 series.
-The shape of the side window has become a unit sash in the additional vehicles manufactured after 1972.
At the time of its introduction, the body color was gray No. 9 with a yellow belt, but when the 205 series was introduced on the Chuo-Sobu Local Line, the color scheme was similar to that of the 205 series, and there was a risk of getting on by mistake, so the belt color was changed. has been changed to light blue, which is the line color of the Eidan Subway Tozai Line.
The 103-series 1200s, which appeared as non-cooled trains, were later remodeled for air-conditioning using the AU712 distributed cooler.
In 2003, it was replaced with the successor E231 series 800 and retired.
