JR E129-100 series train add-on set
The E129 series is a new train for the Niigata area that appeared in 2014.
It was introduced as a replacement for the 115 series operated in the same area and as a replacement for the E127 series transferred to Echigo Tokimeki Railway.
Based on the E233 series, it has become cold and snow resistant in consideration of use in the Niigata area. The car body is decorated with ibis pink belts, which represent the ibis of Sado Island, and golden yellow belts, which represent the ears of rice in autumn.
It is composed of a 4-car train and a 2-car train, with the 4-car train being the 0th generation and the 2-car train being the 100th generation.
The 2-car train Kumoha E129-100 was manufactured with 1 pantograph car and 2 pantograph car.
