JR HC85 Series Hybrid Car (Nanki) Set
The HC85 series is a hybrid car that was announced in 2019 as a replacement for the express trains "Hida" and "Nanki" operated by the Kiha 85 series, and has begun test runs.
This series uses a hybrid system that runs the car by driving the motor with electricity generated by the engine and stored in the storage battery, reducing the burden on the environment.
Mass-produced cars will be released in 2022, and will begin commercial operation as the "Hida" limited express from July 2022 and the "Nanki" limited express from July 2023.
● Mass-produced HC85 series hybrid cars are reproduced with new production
● JR mark, non-smoking mark, and car number are printed
● "HYBRID" logo on the side of the car body is printed
● Color sheet is used
● Green glass on the side is reproduced
● Separate parts are included for the front of the leading car to reproduce the appearance of the through door being open
● The car number can be changed with the transfer sheet included with each set of product numbers 98557 and 98558
● Head and tail lights are equipped with a constant lighting board and ON-OFF switch
● Head and tail lights are lit by white LEDs
● TN coupler (SP) is equipped only on the driver's side of the leading car
● Flywheel-equipped power source is used
● New current collection system and silver wheels are used
● M-13 motor is used
