JR 201 Series Commuter Train (JR West 30N Updated Train, Sky Blue) Set
The 201 Series is a commuter train of the Japanese National Railways (JNR) that debuted in 1979.
It was the first JNR train to adopt armature chopper control, making it an energy-efficient and maintenance-friendly vehicle.
The 201 Series for the Tokaido and Sanyo Main Lines (Keihanshin Local Lines) debuted in 1983, painted sky blue and primarily operated on that line.
Beginning in 2003, the trains underwent a renovation known as the "30N Improvement," which significantly altered both the exterior and interior. Around 2005, the train skirts were replaced with reinforced versions.
Between 2005 and 2006, the 321 Series was introduced, replacing the 201 Series. By March 2007, all trains had been transferred to the Osaka Loop Line or the Yamatoji Line.
This replica recreates the sky blue JR West 201-series 30N replacement car, which served on the Keihanshin Local Line and Fukuchiyama Line.
This model is newly recreated with the AU75 air conditioner installed.
The pre-reinforced skirt is pre-installed, and a replacement reinforced skirt is included.
The PS21 pantograph is installed.
The LA16 lightning arrester is installed.
The antenna and signal flares are pre-installed.
The JR mark and shoe rails are pre-printed.
The car number and some markings are selectable, and a transfer sheet is included.
The head and taillights and front display are equipped with constant-on boards.
The headlights are illuminated with warm white LEDs, and the taillights are illuminated with red LEDs.
