The 21000 Series "Urban Liner" appeared as a nonstop express train connecting Kintetsu Nanba (present: Osaka Namba) and Kintetsu Nagoya in 1988.
Renewal remodeling was done from 2003 to 2005, Barrier-free conversion and seating update were done and became "Urbanliner plus", a beige band was added to the car body.
