The Keihan Electric Railway 3000 series is a limited express train that has been manufactured since 1971.
Initially, it was manufactured to increase the frequency of limited express trains from 20-minute intervals to 15-minute intervals, but compared to the 1900 series, it was well received due to differences in in-vehicle equipment, etc., and was added to replace all limited express cars. has been replenished.
Since the second car, which is an additional car, will be a 7-car train during daytime operation, the accompanying car 3600 type has newly appeared.
When the Ohto Line (between Sanjo and Demachiyanagi) opened in 1989, it was decided that the entire trainset would be a 7-car fixed trainset, and the 8550 series, which was an accompanying car for the successor limited express train 8000 series, was newly built for additional trains.
It was incorporated into the formation that was operated in the 6-car formation.
After that, the number of 8000 series continued to be increased, and they were gradually replaced, but it was decided that only one train would continue to be used due to a review of the preliminary train set, etc. In 1995, the interior and electrical equipment were made to be the same as the 8000 series. Refurbishment work has been done.
At that time, one 3600-type car was remodeled into a double-decker. It attracted a lot of attention from passengers, and later had an impact, such as adding a double-decker car to the 8000 series.
The 3000 series, which has been loved for many years, could not beat the aging of the vehicle, and regrettably retired in 2013.
Currently, the 3000 series can be seen at Toyama Chiho Railway and his scrap mall "SANZEN HIROBA".
The product is a prototype of the secondary car, and a new intermediate car without pantograph is produced.
