[Actual vehicle guide]
●The Seibu Railway New 501 Series is a model that began operation in 1981 with the same control motorization as the New 101 Series, which was made from the leading cars that became surplus when the last three 701 Series trains were converted to six-car trains.
●The two leading cars were fixed and coupled with the 701 Series and 401 Series, and were used widely from rapid express to local trains, mainly on the Shinjuku Line system.
●There are a total of six three-car trains, and they were in service until 1990, when the equipment was repurposed for other models.

●The Shinjuku Line split express "Haijima/Seibu Yuenchi bound" with an 8-car 2+2+4 formation that ran around 1983
