Nagoya City Transportation Bureau - 2nd Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of Municipal Transportation - The long-awaited Higashiyama Line 5000 Series is now available!

[Actual Car Guide]
●The Nagoya Municipal Subway Higashiyama Line is a third-rail subway line with a partially above-ground section of approximately 20.6 km that connects Takahata Station to Fujigaoka Station. It is the first subway line to open in Nagoya in 1957 and serves as the main artery of transportation in the city. The 5000 Series vehicles appeared in 1980 when the 100 Series and 200 Series were scrapped, and a total of 138 cars were manufactured. Although commercial operation ended in 2015, some of the formations were transferred to the Buenos Aires Subway in Argentina, South America, and are still in use today. Even now, seven years after its retirement, the 5114 formation that will be produced this time has been kept at the Fujigaoka Factory, but unfortunately it has been decided that it will be dismantled in fiscal year 2022.

●Please enjoy the 5000-series vehicles, which will no longer be seen, in your railway collection.

●By using a separately sold power unit and N-gauge running parts, you can run it as an N-gauge model train.
●We recommend the TM-10R (16m class A) power unit and the TT-04R running parts set.
*Please install the power unit on either car 5214 or car 5514. (The included motorized bogie frame has a molded current collector shoe, so it is not compatible with any other cars.)
