GREEN MAX Announced March 13, 2025

The Seibu New 2000 Series was introduced in 1988 as an additional model to the 2000 Series. The exterior has been completely redesigned from the 2000 Series that had been introduced up until that point, and it has become the representative model of Seibu commuter cars that form a large group of 314 cars.
It is currently in service on the Shinjuku Line and Ikebukuro Line in a variety of configurations, including 2, 4, 6, and 8 cars. In recent years, it has been renovated by closing the door pocket windows, partially removing the ventilators, replacing them with single-arm pantographs, and converting the destination display to full-color LEDs.
To mark the 100th anniversary of the opening of Kiyose Station on June 11, 2024, one train, the 2071 train, began operating as the "Kiyose Station 100th Anniversary Train" on April 27 of the same year. The body color has been changed to resemble the two-tone yellow and brown color of the former Seibu Railway, and it is currently in service on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line.
