● The ICE4 is the fourth generation of the Inter City Express (ICE), Germany's leading high-speed train on the European main line system. The 12-car train has a maximum speed of 250 km/h. It was developed based on the concept of a new mainstay of long-distance transport, with emphasis on operational flexibility and improved comfort in order to increase transport capacity by connecting rural areas and cities more frequently. The new ICE trains are used as the mainstay of international ICE services in Germany and other parts of Europe.
