Japanese SummerVacation

Japanese schools have three terms, each of which is divided into holidays. Most schools have a 40-day summer vacation from July 20th to August 31st, and winter and spring vacations from December 26th to January 6th and March 25th to April 5th, respectively, both of which are about 10 days long. The new school year begins in April, after the spring vacation.
