KATO NEW (N)CB&Q Pioneer Zephyr 3 Unit Set
Due to the Great Depression of 1929 and the rise of automobiles and aircraft, American railroads were in a steady decline during the 1930s. Amidst the need for radical reform, the CB&Q (Chicago, Burlington & Quincy) Railroad introduced the "Burlington Zephyr" (later the Pioneer Zephyr) in 1934.
