Locomotive in Diorama mountain KATO 3075-5

The ED75-0 Series was developed in 1963 when the Jōban Line was electrified up to Hirai Station (now Iwaki Station) and served as the successor to the ED71 on the TōhokuMain Line. This 50 Hz AC-only locomotive was produced in 160 units and operated broadly on the TōhokuMain Line north of Kuroiso and the Jōban Line from Hirai to Aomori. It was used for a wide range of services, including freight trains, regular passenger services, and Blue Train long-distance sleeper operations. Ideal for recreating JNR-era passenger and freight train formations in the Tōhoku region and pairs perfectly with the OHA 14, SUHAFU 14, and OHAFU 15 series passenger cars for classic express train consists.
