Osaka Metro 400 Series
Aiming to be a suitable train for the access route to the Osaka-Kansai Expo to be held in 2025, the futuristic design was designed and developed to evoke the image of a spaceship, providing a fun and exciting ride, and began operation on the Chuo Line in June 2023. The train was awarded the 2024 Laurel Prize for its design that stands out from existing trains and its fit that meets diverse needs. 23 trains are scheduled to be introduced by April 2025.
