● The E3-2000 Series was introduced between December 2008 and April 2010, with 12 trains consisting of 7-car sets. The headlight design and other features were changed from the E3-1000 Series, and they replaced the 400 Series, which had been in service since the commencement of the Yamagata Shinkansen. In April 2014, the colour scheme was changed to enhance the appeal of the Yamagata Shinkansen, in conjunction with the Yamagata Destination Campaign 2015.
◆ The E3-2000 Series "Tsubasa," one of the main trains of the Yamagata Shinkansen, is now available in its new colour scheme. Scheduled for release in February 2025, the <10-1969–1971 E5 Series Shinkansen "HAYABUSA"> and <10-1967/1968 H5 Series Hokkaido Shinkansen "HAYABUSA"> can be combined to recreate scenes of coupled operations between Tokyo and Fukushima, just like the actual trains.
