台湾鉄路 E500型「PP自強号」

The E500 series is Taiwan's first Japanese-made electric locomotive. A total of 88 cars were ordered in bulk to replace the E1000 series electric cars that pull the aging Taiwan Railway Corporation's "PP Tze-Chiang" trains, as well as the conventional electric locomotives that pull passenger and freight cars, and it has debuted as a locomotive that will lead the next generation. The E500 series makes extensive use of Toshiba's Fuchu Works' manufacturing technology, and is characterized by its linear exterior thanks to its modular structure and the numerous jumper plugs on the front for coupling with various passenger and freight cars.
