A little in stock KATO Locomotive
3076-1 ED79 Single-Arm Pantograph
The ED79 was a locomotive exclusively designed for the Seikan Tunnel, which opened in 1988. It was a dual-purpose AC electric locomotive, created by modifying the JNR ED75 700 series. Its design was well-suited to the unique environment of the Seikan Tunnel, allowing it to pull passenger trains alone and freight trains in multiple units.
It served on the sleeper express trains "Hokutosei," "Twilight Express," and "Cassiopea," as well as the sleeper express "Hamanasu." Enjoy this final-stage ED79, with its standard pantograph replaced from the original cross-type pantograph with a single-arm pantograph.
