"Tsudoi" appeared in 2013 (Heisei 25) by remodeling the 2000 series according to the Shikinen Sengu of Ise Jingu. Initially, it was operated as a sightseeing train mainly between Ise City and Kashikojima, and the car body was painted with colorful illustrations of the attractions of Ise Jingu, Ise, Toba, and Shima.
In 2018 (Heisei 30), the interior and exterior were renewed, such as changing the paint color to brown and installing footbath facilities inside the car. In addition to being operated mainly between Kintetsu Nagoya and Yunoyama Onsen from July of the same year, it is also active as a group special train on the Kintetsu line.
