KATO 10-1875 E657 Series <E653 Series Revival Color (Red)>
The E657 Series, a flagship limited express train for the Joban Line, debuted in 2011 as an AC/DC electric railcar for the Joban Line.
In conjunction with the 2023 Ibaraki Destination Campaign, the E657 Series has been repainted in a style reminiscent of the classic E653 Series "Fresh Hitachi," attracting attention not only from local residents but also from many railway enthusiasts. The actual trains are available in a total of five colors, and KATO will be releasing the red-painted K12 train set as the second in the lineup.
