Sendai Color for KATO 10-1553S

The 701 Series was introduced with the aim of replacing passenger trains and JNR-type electric trains operating in the Tohoku
region for commuter and suburban transport. In 1993, it was newly manufactured and deployed as a 20-meter, three-door,
lightweight stainless steel electric train of the suburban AC type.
Taking into consideration one-person operation it implements a VVVF inverter control system. It also comes with longitudinal seating for ease of movement within the train. It is available in formations of 2 to 4 cars and is operated in configurations suited to the transportation demand.
