Kintetsu 2013 Series Tourist Train "Tsudou" after Renewal
About the Actual Train
"Tsudou" was introduced in 2013 (Heisei 25) as a modified 2000 Series train to coincide with the Shikinen Sengu (period rebuilding of the shrine) of Ise Shrine. Initially, it was operated mainly between Ise-shi and Kashikojima as a tourist train, and the carriages were decorated with colorful illustrations of the attractions of Ise Shrine and Ise, Toba, and Shima.
In 2018 (Heisei 30), the paint color was changed to brown, and the interior and exterior were renewed, including the installation of foot bath facilities inside the carriages. Since July of the same year, it has been operated mainly between Kintetsu Nagoya and Yunoyama Onsen, and is also used as a special group train on the Kintetsu Line.
