The roofed caboose with functions designed to connect/match the conductor's car and freight cars.
Between 1955 and 1961 a total of 650 cars of the WAFU 29500 were manufactured. In addition to being pulled by the D51 on main lines, it was also seen in combination with the C56 on local lines, as well as being active in a range of short-composite freight trains.
This is the first roofed caboose to be introduced in the KATO HO gauge JNR Freight Car Lineup! This model can be easily paired with the <1-203 (HO) D51 Standard Mass-Produced Type Steam Locomotive> scheduled for release in March 2025, as well as with all other freights cars.
