The 500 Shinkansen which runs the top speed of 300km/h during commercial operations and retains popularity for its iconic shape is now being released with updated specifications and car number.
The 500 Series possesses excellent aerodynamics and is characterized by its sharp and dynamic form. Commercial operations at 300km/h began in 1997, and the train was used to cross the distance between Tokyo and Hakata in 4h until March 2010.
