DD51-800 diesel locomotive
Many of the DD51-type 800 series, which were introduced for freight use, were inherited by JR Freight when the Japanese National Railways was privatized, and the Aichi Locomotive Depot continued to use the same type until 2021.
The Aichi Locomotive Depot's DD51-type was mainly used on the Kansai Main Line, and in winter, oil transport freight trains with longer formations and freight trains operated on the Kisei Main Line were also used in multiple-unit operation, and various combinations of DD51-type trains were seen.
