
EF81-400 electric locomotive
The EF81-400 series was modified from the 0 series to replace the EF30 series used in the Kanmon Tunnel, and is characterized by the addition of multiple-unit control.
Currently, it is used to pull freight trains within Kyushu, along with the 303 and the 450 and 500 series.
