103 Series (Early Model Non-Air-Conditioned Cars, "Uguisu") Add-On Set (3-Car)

The 103 Series commuter train is a JNR commuter train whose prototype debuted in 1963 and mass-produced production began in 1964.
Initially, the 103 Series trains deployed on the Yamanote Line featured low cabs and no air conditioning. However, as operational equipment improved, the specifications of this series were revised over time, and the Yamanote Line saw the introduction of several new trains.
As a result, the Yamanote Line eventually became almost entirely made up of the latest models with high cabs and air conditioning at the front. However, due to years of replacement and reconfiguration, many early models without air conditioning remained in the middle of some trains.
Subsequently, the 205 Series began to be introduced in 1984, and with the opening of the Saikyo Line the following year, this series was repurposed and could be seen on the Yamanote Line until 1988 and on the Saikyo Line until 1990.
The 103 series, a light green color with a high-cab front car and early-model non-air-conditioned cars, was also active on the Yamanote and Saikyo lines, as well as the Yokohama line.
