JR Series 500 Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen (Nozomi) Add-on Set A
The Series 500 is a trainset developed by JR West for the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen lines; characterized by a sharp, sleek profile reminiscent of an aircraft, it boasted a top operational speed of 300 km/h.
After concluding its service as the "Nozomi" on the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen lines in 2010, the fleet was reconfigured into 8-car sets and currently operates on the Sanyo Shinkansen.
