JR E5 Series Tohoku/Hokkaido Shinkansen (Hayabusa) Basic Set
The E5 Series, introduced as the "Hayabusa" in 2011, began coupled operation with the E6 Series in 2013. As of 2022, it operates at a top speed of 320 km/h.
In recent years, baggage storage has been expanded to accommodate larger baggage, resulting in the blocking of some windows.
●The structure of the light-blocking case has been changed.
●The windows of cars 1-8 have been blocked off to accommodate the additional baggage storage areas added to cars 1-9.
●The roof anti-slip surfaces are reproduced in gray.
●The car number of the U42 train is printed on the front.
●The car number can be changed using the transfer sheet included with the add-on set.
●This product (cars 1, 6, 7, and 10) can be combined with part numbers 98498 and 98499 to create a full 10-car train.
●Equipped with movable canopy.
●Equipped with movable pantograph.
●Uses hook and U-shaped conductive couplers.
●The driver's side of the E514, which couples with E6 series trains, is equipped with a TN coupler.
●The movable canopy reproduces the black outer canopy adopted on cars U28 and later.
●The "Treasureland" logo is attached to the front side of cars 1 and 10. The "TOHOKU-JAPAN" logo is reproduced in print.
●Hayabusa logo, Gran Class mark, and car numbering are pre-printed.
●Headlights and taillights are equipped with constant-on circuit boards.
●Headlights are illuminated by white LEDs, and taillights are illuminated by red LEDs.
●E514 series features headlight and taillight ON/OFF switches.
●Uses a flywheel-equipped motor.
●New current collection system and silver wheels.
●Uses an M-13 motor.
