JR 700-7000 Series Sanyo Shinkansen Hikari Railstar
The 700-7000 series, based on the 700-0 and 3000 series, was introduced in March 2000 exclusively for the Sanyo Shinkansen "Hikari Railstar."
The exterior paintwork is based on the previously introduced 500 series, and this series features a distinctive yellow stripe.
Currently, these trains serve as the Sanyo Shinkansen "Hikari" and "Kodama" trains.
